DESCRIPTION:  This utility installs software on an Aero 2100 handheld to 
upgrade the displayable colors from 256 colors to 65,536 colors.  

This utility will also install a useful new program called QUtilities.
The QUtilities is a help utility which gives the user easier access to
often-used programs (such as adjustments to backlight and power 
properties) as well as a group of handy programs.  The programs include a 
File Explorer program for easier file and directory viewing, an easy way
to switch between active tasks and close active tasks, a backup and retore 
program for quick and easy backup to a CF card, and a Diagnostics program 
for quick testing. 

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable..

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory 
folder in the download directory.  All files are unpacked into this 
newly created directory.

3. After the directory has been created, you may delete the 
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. Connect your Aero 2100 to your desktop using the serial link.  Ensure
an active connection has been established.  It is advised that the unit 
also be connected to AC power to ensure that no interruptions from low 
battery power occur during the installation.

5. Select and execute the SETUP.EXE file unpacked from the Softpaq onto  
the hard drive.

6. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the software upgrade 
onto your Aero 2100.  An opportunity will be given to the user during 
the install to select either the 64K or QUtilities programs individually 
or install them both at the same time.

7. After the installation to the Aero 2100 is complete, you must reset 
the computer for the program to be active.  To do this simply disconnect
the unit from it's connection to the desktop and while the unit is still on, 
use your stylus to press the reset button located on the backside of the 
Aero 2100 to the left of the agency lable.

8. After the installation is completed, you may delete the directory 
created in step 2 if you wish.

UTILISATION :

1. T?l?chargez le fichier SoftPaq vers un r?pertoire de votre disque dur.
Le fichier t?l?charg? est un fichier ex?cutable auto-extractible.

2. Ex?cutez le fichier t?l?charg? et suivez les instructions ? l'?cran. 
L'entr?e de "Y" pour confirmer l'extraction des fichiers cr?e un nouveau 
dossier dans le r?pertoire de t?l?chargement.  Tous les fichiers sont extraits 
vers ce nouveau r?pertoire.

3. Apr?s avoir cr?? le r?pertoire, vous pouvez effacer le fichier
auto-extractible t?l?charg? ? l'?tape 1.

4. Connectez votre Assistant Personnel Aero 2100 ? votre ordinateur 
de bureau par le biais de la connexion s?rie.  Assurez-vous qu'une 
connexion active a ?t? cr??e.  Il vous est recommand?
de brancher l'unit? ? l'alimentation secteur pour vous assurer 
que l'installation ne sera pas interrompue par un niveau bas de charge
de la batterie.

5. S?lectionnez et ex?cutez le fichier SETUP.EXE extrait du SoftPaq sur 
le disque dur.

6. Suivez les instructions ? l'?cran pour installer la mise ? jour de logiciel
sur votre Aero 2100.  Pendant l'installation, l'utilisateur pourra 
s?lectionner individuellement les programmes 64K ou les QUtility
ou installer les deux ? la fois.

7. Apr?s l'installation des fichiers sur l'Aero 2100, vous devez 
r?initialiser l'Assistant Personnel pour activer le programme. 
 Pour cela, d?connectez simplement l'Assistant Personnel
de votre ordinateur de bureau et, tout en laissant l'unit? sous tension,
appuyez sur le bouton Reset avec votre stylet situ? sur la face arri?re 
de votre Aero 2100, ? gauche de l'?tiquette.

8. Apr?s avoir termin? l'installation, vous pouvez supprimer le r?pertoire
cr?? ? l'?tape 2, si vous le souhaitez.
