DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be run 
in United States mode. This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description 
file and a self-extracting executable file.  The self-extracting 
executable file contains Compaq Server Support for Microsoft Windows 
NT 4.0 that supports the following subsystems and features of

Compaq Integrated Smart Array/42xx Controllers(CPQARRY2.SYS) 
	Updated the Compaq Integrated Smart Array/42xx 
	Controllers Driver from Version 4.01.20.01 to Version 
	4.01.26.01, which supports the new Compaq Smart Array 
	4250ES Controller.

Compaq SCSI Controller Driver(CPQ32FS2.SYS) 
	Updated the Compaq SCSI Controller Driver from Version 
	3.24.001.001 to Version 4.0.0.0.
	Modified the driver to prevent input/output (I/O) requests 
	from potentially becoming stuck, resulting in the 
	appearance of a system hang.
	Modified a SCSI function in the driver to correct the 
	reported Logical Unit Number (LUN).  This bug could 
	potentially cause previous versions of this driver to 
	report incorrect data.
	Fixed a potential bug in the driver so that the SCSI 
	Manager is now forced to honor requests for bus speed 
	and/or bus width negotiation.  

Compaq Smart Array Redundancy Software(CPQSVMGR.EXE) 
	Added redundancy support for the Compaq Smart Array 
	4250ES Controller.

Compaq SMART/SMART-2 Array Controller Driver(CPQARRAY.SYS) 
	Updated the Compaq SMART/SMART-2 Array Controller Driver 
	from Version 4.01.03.38 to Version 4.02.04.0, which supports 
	the new Compaq Smart Array 4250ES Controller.

For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
   to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
   executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
   and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
   The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
   You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
   the files, or default to the download directory.
   The following files will be created:
       README.TXT
       STOR.EXE

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
   self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the 
   self-extracting executable:
       STOR.EXE [ENTER]

5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the 
   support software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the 
   program SETUP.EXE to install the software.
