DESCRIPTION:  The Options ROMPaq diskettes allow a user to
upgrade the ROM Firmware images for Compaq System Product Options.  The
Options ROMPaq consists of ten (10) diskettes:

	Disk 1 - Options ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for 
		 the Compaq SMART-2 Family, SMART Array 3100ES,
		 3200, 221, 4200, 4250ES and Integrated SMART
		 Array Controllers.

	Disk 2 - Options ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for 
		 Compaq SCSI Hard Drives

	Disk 3 - Options ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for 
		 Compaq SCSI Hard Drives

	Disk 4 - Options ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for 
		 Compaq SCSI Hard Drives

	Disk 5 - Options ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for 
		 Compaq SCSI Hard Drives

	Disk 6 - Options ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for

* NOTE: This Option ROMPaq does not contain firmware images for the 
        Compaq SMART Controller. Obtain SoftPaq SP8560 to get firmware
        for this controller.


Enhancements/Fixes:
- Added support for Integrated SMART Array Controller.
- Added support for SMART Array 4200 and 4250ES Controllers.
- Moved RA4000 Controller to Disk 8.
- Upgraded Compaq HB00931B93 and HB01831B95 hard drive firmware to A195.
- Upgraded Integrated Array Controller firmware to 1.32 to correct an 
  issue with the M&P stamp not being intialized properly resulting in
  no hard drive pre-failure notification.   
- Upgraded SMART Array 4200 and 4250ES Controller firmware to 1.10 to
  correct an issue with the Smart Array 4250ES Controller firmware causing
  server lockup on reboot if the controllers were configured for redundancy
  and the server is rebooted before removing one of the failed controllers.
- Upgraded RA4000 Controller firmware to 2.40 to correct an issue with the
  controller locking up when running Options Rompaq.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain ten (10) formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes.

4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. The Options ROMPaq diskettes are self-booting diskettes.  Place each
ROMPaq diskette into your drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your
system to begin updating the appropriate components.
