DESCRIPTION:
The Intel PRO/100+ NIC Drivers support the Intel PRO/100+ Management Adapter 
as well as the Compaq legacy NICs such NC3121 and Compaq 10/100 for 
Windows 95 and Windows 98.

ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES: 

 - Version 3.12 Rev B adds a utility which automatically copies all Microsoft 
   installation files to a diskette.  (The driver files themselves have not changed.)

Below is a recap of the enhancements/fixes that were introduced with Version 3.12 Rev A:
 - Adds support for the new Intel PRO/100+ Management Adapter as well as the 
   legacy Compaq Intel NICs. 
 - Adds support for Alert-On-LAN technology, which is used only on the Deskpro 
   models with the Intel 810 or future chipset
 - Adds support for Compaq System Software Manager (SSM) and Insight Manager LC.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting
file downloaded in step 1.

4. For installation instructions on different Operating systems, please refer to the 
corresponding Text files in the "Info" Folder at the root of the Softpaq directory. 
For example, to install the drivers on any Windows operating system, refer to the 
"Ms.txt" file at the \\Info\Ms location. 

5. To create an (optional) installation diskette, run "CreateWindowsDiskette.bat",
which copies all Microsoft installation files to a diskette in drive A:.
