Windows 95 or 98 with Microsoft Personal Web Server (PWS) 1.0A1. PWS 
1.0A1 is not installed with Windows 95; you must download it from 
the Microsoft web site at http://www.microsoft.com/ie/pws/main.htm. 
After you download the software, you can install it on your system.

DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks a setup file to install the Compaq Networking 
Management Software Version 2.2.5 Foundation Module.  This module 
provides the core functionality for Compaq Networking Management 
Software.

Support for other Netelligent products can be added by downloading
the Element Managers (PMMs) in SP11482.  Currently supported products
include the following:

  Netelligent 2008 and 2016 Repeaters
  Netelligent 3024 and 3124 Repeaters
  Netelligent 5226 and 5226A Switches
  Netelligent 5708 TX and 5708 FX Switches
  Compaq 5411, 5422, 5425 and 5450 Enterprise Gigabit Switches
  Compaq SW3322, SW3323 and SW3324 Switches
  Compaq HB3320 and HB3321 Switches

Compaq Networking Management Software is a flexible, SNMP-based
network management tool that helps customers control their 
networks.  Compaq Networking Management Software provides fault 
detection, performance monitoring, and configuration support for all 
supported manageable Compaq repeaters, switches, and routers.  
Compaq Networking Management Software also includes a MIB browser, 
which provides access to third-party supported MIBs, allowing 
management of all SNMP manageable devices.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.  It 
unpacks 2 files (requiring an additional 14 MB of hard drive space):
 SETUP.EXE
 README.TXT

You will be given the opportunity to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. Refer to README.TXT for additional details on installing and 
using the software.  

The installed Networking software requires 45 MB hard drive space. 
(The installation process may require up to 50% more disk space 
than the final installation; this space is freed when the 
installation is complete).   

5. Run SETUP.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions.

6. After the installation has completed successfully, you may 
delete the SETUP.EXE file.
