SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:  MS Windows 3.1 with MediaPilot software being used in Canada

DESCRIPTION: CAPI2.DLL is being made available to resolve problems with MediaPilot 1.00/1.01/1.50 not being able to answer local incoming phone calls in Canada.  The scenario being reported is that the phone rings, the Compaq Operator appears to say that there is an incoming call, and then there is a GPF in OPERATOR.EXE followed by an EMM386 exception error.

HOW TO USE:

1.  After downloading the SoftPaq, copy it to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1142 <ENTER>

2. From that drive and directory, run the SoftPaq utility to unbind the primary files:  SP1044 <ENTER>
The following files should be created:
SP1044.DOC
CAPI2.DLL

3. Replace the existing CAPI2.DLL file on the hard drive with the new version by typing at the dos prompt:
COPY CAPI2.DLL C:\WINDOWS\MEDIAPLT\CAPI2.DLL <ENTER>
Select YES when asked if you want to overwrite the existing file.

4. Reboot your computer by pressing <CNTL><ALT><DEL>.  The MediaPilot telephone applications should now work correctly.
