DESCRIPTION:  MOVEPCI resolves an anomaly between Novell Netware Server and similar software with COMPAQ PCI bus Deskpro products that prevent some PCI network adapters from functioning properly.

Compaq Deskpro machines that contain a PCI bus have protected mode 32 bit PCI services located at the end address of memory (4 gigabytes).  This memory address is not usable by Novell Server software and similar software that cannot manage non-contiguous blocks of extended memory.  PCI drivers that do direct calls to the PCI 32 bit address will not function in this environment.

MOVEPCI re-locates the PCI services to the F000 block of memory where they are accessible by the Novell Server software.

This version of MOVEPCI (3.0) replaces previous versions of MOVEPCI to support current models of Compaq computers that contain a PCI bus.

HOW TO USE:  

1.  After downloading the SoftPaq, copy it to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1116

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file to unbind the primary files:  SP1116 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
MOVEPCI.SYS
MOVEPCI.DOC 

3.  To install the software, refer to MOVEPCI.DOC.
