SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:  System Management driver installed from previous Compaq                        Support Software Diskette for Windows NT (NT SSD), or from SoftPaq SP1063, or from SoftPaq SP1090.

DESCRIPTION:  SYSMGMT.SYS (dated 03-24-95) has been modified to correct:

1) P2000-P4000 with only one processor installed may have caused intermitant system lockups during Fan or Temperature Events.
2) Memory correctable errors that occurred after powerup and before NT initialization would cause NT initialization to hang on the blue screen initialization (Hang occurs after the HAL line and before the Disk information).
3) A comm port buffer overrun performance problem.  This problem was a performance problem created by how often NVRAM EVs were written.   This problem would show up on the ProLiant family and ProSignia 500 server products.
4) Spurious Health interrupt support which could cause system lockups.
5) Health support is correctly disabled during system restarts. This could have caused system lockups during system restarts if a health interrupt occurred.
6) Fan and Temperature Event glitching.

 SYSMGMT.SYS is the Window NT System Health driver from Compaq that supports  system management reporting when used with the Compaq Insight Management  Utility and the NT System Management Agents.

SUPERSEDES:  SP1090, SP1063

HOW TO USE:  

1.  After downloading the SoftPaq, copy it to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP),  unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1110

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file to unbind the primary files:  SP1110 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:

SETUP.CMD 
CPQDISP.EXE 
VER_INFO.EXE 
README.TXT

3.  Please read README.TXT before installing this new driver using the SETUP.CMD command file.  Installation can occur from a DOS Prompt under either Windows NT or DOS.
