Filename: P/N 184652-00
Title: Modem Enabler for Windows NT
Version: 1.00
CATEGORY: Software Solution / Laptop
EFFECTIVITY DATE: 10 February 1995
PRODUCTS AFFECTED: LTE Elite, Contura 400 Family
OPERATING SYSTEM: Microsoft Windows NT 3.1, Microsoft Windows NT 3.5
DESCRIPTION:
Currently, Microsoft's Windows NT operating system does not offer full PCMCIA support. Consequently, each PC Card (PCMCIA Card) requires individual software that enables that PC Card device under the NT operating system.
Compaq has developed such a program that enables Compaq PC Card modems to work under Windows NT running on Compaq Portable computers with PCMCIA slots. This PC Card Modem Enabler is also compatible with other PCMCIA 2.01 compliant modems. (Specific popular PCMCIA 2.0 modems are also supported, such as those by Megahertz and US Robotics).
