DESCRIPTION: Pentfix is Microsoft's Pentium driver. It behaves as Compaq's Dos driver in that it disables the FPU under Windows. It ONLY works under Windows 3.1. The following files are included in the softpaq:
PENTFIX.EXE
PENTFIX.TXT
HOW TO USE:
1. Create an empty directory on your hard drive, copy or download the SoftPaq to that directory, and change to the directory, as in the following example:
MD C:\SP1089
perform the download to C:\SP1089
CD C:\SP1089
2. If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable: PKUNZIP SP1089
This should create the file SP1089.EXE.
3. From the same directory, execute the SoftPaq file to unbind the primary files: SP1089 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
PENTFIX.EXE
PENTFIX.TXT
SP1089.DOC
4. From the Windows File/Run menu, run PENTFIX to install.
5. After installation has completed, you may delete the temporary C:\SP1089 directory if you have decided not to retain the files.
