SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:  Systems configured with Mircrosoft Windows NT from Compaq using the CD ROM No. 2 (Part No. 181310-001), from Compaq SmartStart, November 1994 release.

SUPERSEDES:  N/A

DESCRIPTION:  This replaces file OEMNXPSM.INF (dated 12/5/94, size=85502) to allow "Services for Macintosh" to be installed on a system running Windows NT 3.5 from Compaq.   If this file is not replaced, the "Services for Macintosh" option is not shown in the network control panel after selecting the "Add Software" option.

HOW TO USE:  

1.  After downloading the SoftPaq, copy it to an empty directory and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1083

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file to unbind the primary files:  SP1083 [ENTER]
The following files should be created: 

SP1083.DOC
README.TXT
OEMNXPSM.INF 

3. Copy the file OEMNXPSM.INF from the directory to your Windows System32 directory, usually called C:\WINNT35\SYSTEM32, replacing the old file. 

4. From the Network Control Panel applet, select "Add Software".  If the new file has been copied successfully, "Services for Macintosh" will appear in the list of options.
