This version of the Firmware/BIOS is an upgrade from the original version
shipping on the Mylex AcceleRAID 150 Array Controller.
Updates the FW to 4.07-0-29 and BCU to 1.00-16
NOTE:
To verify the present FW/BIOS versions on the card,
copy the DAC960fl.exe found on the Mylex CD under Utility/utils
to a bootable Diskette.
Boot to the Diskette and Run DAC960FL -d. The -d switch will display
the details of the Boot Block, BIOS, Firmware, BCU, and Diagnostics that
are flashed on the controller. Use the information on the screen to
verify that the controller needs to be upgraded to the versions above.
Enhancements/Fixes:
Firmware Changes from 4.07-0-27 to 4.07-0-29
- The controller now stops a rebuild after a new configuration is made.
- The Start/Stop command now detects a new drive when replacing an Offline
drive.
- GAM now updates the Miscellaneous Error Counter on a Check Condition when a
hard disk is jumpered in Write Protect mode.
- Boots to Installation Abort when 2 or more drives fail to start up.
- The controller now attempts a synchronous negotiation with synchronous capable
non-disk devices.
- Corrects possible incorrect data that could be passed to the calling
application when setup as follows: Raid 0, cache segment is 8KB and Stripe is
(8k or 64k) with Read Ahead turned on while doing a sequential read during an
OFFLINE drive.
- A change made to begin Background Initialization on the next write operation
following a configuration update.
RAID EzAssist version 1.00-9 to 1.00-16 change notes
- Ezassist now creates RAID 0+1 for 3 or more drives when performance is chosen
under Assisted Configuration.
- A pop-up dialog with "Add Capacity Stabilizing" message is displayed to allow
the Add Capacity module to kick in.
- Ezassist now displays the correct cache line sizes following cache line
changes.
- The System will now support adding more drives to a pack of an array that
already has 32 system drives.
- Prevents Non-disk devices being turned to Spares.
