DESCRIPTION:  This Softpaq unpacks the files needed to patch the following 
Compaq Insight Agent Mib DLLs: 
   Hostmib.dll
   Sevrmib.dll 
   Stormib.dll

This corrects a problem where Compaq Insight Agent Mib DLLs Version 4.23B or 
earlier cause the SNMP process to go into an infinite loop resulting in 
SNMP CPU usage from 50% to 100% depending on the number of CPUs on the system.

IMPORTANT: Insight Agents 4.23B must be installed before applying this Softpaq.

HOW TO USE:

1. Install Compaq Insight Agents Version 4.23B.

2. Stop SNMP service.

3. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your 
hard drive.  The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable 
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

4. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Enter "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files into this temporary directory. 

5. From this temporary directory:
     Copy Hostmib.dll into %systemroot%\system32\cpqmgmt\cqmghost
     Copy Servmib.dll into %systemroot%\system32\cpqmgmt\cqmgserv
     Copy Stormib.dll into %systemroot%\system32\cpqmgmt\cqmgstor

6. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting file 
downloaded in step 3.

7. Start SNMP service and Insight Agent services.
