DESCRIPTION:  Contains the files to create the NetWare Programs From Compaq Diskette (145245-013) and NetWare Programs From Compaq Supplement Diskette (P/N 195994-007).  

The NPFC and NPFC Supplement diskettes contain NetWare drivers, NetWare Loadable Modules (NLMs), and support information to optimize the performance of NetWare on Compaq servers.  Anyone using NPFC should always use the latest drivers.

The WHATSNEW.RDM file, found on each NPFC diskette, contains detailed information about the updates, new features, and fixes in this version.  Highlights include:

o  Provides Fast-Wide SCSI-2 support for the following new controllers:
    Compaq 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2/P Controller
    Compaq 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2/E Controller
    Integrated 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2/P Controller

o  All PCI configuration accesses are now made through the System BIOS for greater portability of the driver.

HOW TO USE:  

1.  After downloading the SoftPaq, copy it to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1047

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file to unbind the primary files:  SP1047 [ENTER]

NPFC254A._02
QRST5.EXE
SP1047.DOC

3.  Obtain two  (2) formatted 1.44 MB 3.5" diskettes.

4.  To create the diskettes and install the software, refer to SP1047.DOC.
