   IMPORTANT:  The ATAPI/IDE Controller Driver is not supported on the Compaq 
	Professional Workstation SP700. If you used Compaq Workstation Support 
	Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Version 2.00A or 2.01A with a 
	Professional Workstation SP700 configured with an ATAPI/IDE Controller, 
	run the Compaq Workstation Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 
	Version 2.04A Setup program (available in SoftPaq SP10069) to disable 
        the CPQATAPI.SYS driver and enable the MSATAPI.SYS driver included in 
        Microsoft Windows NT Service Pack 3 (or higher).

DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates a set of files that provide 
support for the following subsystems and features of Compaq 
Professional Workstations:
 
    ATAPI/IDE Controller

NOTE: This driver's Setup program will only install the driver 
if Service Pack 3 or higher is NOT installed; or if Service 
Pack 3 is installed but the hard drive capacity is less than 8 
Gigabytes.  If the Setup program returns exit code (0x1), then 
the driver did not get installed.

For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files.

ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES:
 - Adds support for Compaq System Software Manager (SSM).

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.  The 
file that is downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a 
filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the 
setup command below to start the installation of Software.

	SETUP.EXE  [ENTER]
