File Name: CPQHLTH.DLL

corrects empty configuration screen
Version: Compaq Insight Management Agents for OS/2 version 2.30
_______________________________________________________________________
CATEGORY: Software Solution
EFFECTIVITY DATE: 11-17-94
PRODUCTS AFFECTED: ProLiant 4000 with memory board installed.
OPERATING SYSTEM: OS/2 2.x - Compaq Insight Agents version 2.30
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION: Any ProLiant 4000 system with an optional
memory expansion board installed.
SUPERSEDES: N/A
DESCRIPTION: When configuration is selected on Compaq Insight
Manager, the screen will come up with no data in it. Compaq Insight
Manager may also hang when trying to get the configuration data
screen. This problem is due to the Insight Agent running on the
server reporting bad configuration information to the Insight
Management console.
HOW TO USE:
1. After downloading SoftPaq, change to the download directory.
For example:
C:> CD \CPQ
If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an
executable:
C:\CPQ> PKUNZIP SP1021
2. From that drive and directory, run the SoftPaq utility to unbind the
primary files:
C:\CPQ> SP1021 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
CPQHLTH.DLL
3. Perform the following steps on the monitored server, NOT on the
management console.
1) Stop Compaq Insight Management Agents on the OS/2 server. To stop
the Insight Agents, locate the CPQMGMT.EXE window. Type CRTL-C to
stop the Insight Agents.
2) Copy CPQHLTH.DLL, contained in this Softpaq, to the Insight Agents
directory. The default is C:\CPQAGENT. Check the CONFIG.SYS PATH
if unsure.
3) Shutdown OS/2 and reset the server for changes to take effect.
