DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks the files needed to install the System Software Manager,
a software product used to perform a silent upgrade of software
that resides on the Deskpro computers mentioned above.  The System Software
Manager performs hardware and software version detection and upgrades only
the necessary drivers from a central software repository.

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - Localized versions released. Added Support for the following Languages:
   BR - Brazilian Portuguese
   FR - French
   GR - German
   JP - Japan
   SP - Spanish
   NL - Dutch
   SE - Swedish

 - Corrects an issue on Windows 9X where the administrative mode would appear
   to hang when File and Print sharing was not enabled on the 
   Compaq Insight Manager LC - Combined Console, and/or Compaq Insight Manager LC - Combined Client. 

 - Corrects issues with multiple deliverables for the same device.
   Previously, SSM would execute all the updates for a given device if the FORCE switch was set.  
   SSM is now designed to execute the most recent update. 

HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory 
folder in the download directory.  All files are unpacked into this 
newly created directory.

3. This utility does not have an installation routine.  Please refer to the
PDF user manual file for more information about this utility and its usage.
