DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks the files needed to run the firmware upgrade
              utility for the Compaq Microcom 550 56K Modem + 10/100
              Ethernet PC Card.  This is only for the operating systems 
              listed above.  Instructions for the use of the firmware
              upgrade are contained in the file README.TXT in the 
              folder to which the SoftPaq is unpacked.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a folder on your hard drive and change to
   that folder.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with a
   filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and folder, execute the downloaded file and follow
   the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to confirm (or 
   change) the name and location of the folder into which the files
   contained in the Softpaq will be unpacked.

3. After the files are unpacked, you may delete the SoftPaq file
   downloaded in step 1.

4. Use a text editor to read and print the file Readme.txt in the 
   folder to which you expanded the SoftPaq files for instructions on
   the use of the firmware upgrade utility.
