CATEGORY: Driver

EFFECTIVE DATE: 10-17-94

PRODUCTS AFFECTED: LTE Lite, CONCERTO laptops

OPERATING SYSTEM: MS-DOS 5.0 or greater

SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:

DESCRIPTION: LTTVCPQ.SYS allows proper operation of an external TV
monitor attached to a Willow Peripherals Laptop TV adapter.
The Willow Laptop TV adapter requires 60 Hertz vertical refresh whereas
normal VGA output is usually 70 Hertz. Vertical refresh rates other than
60 Hertz will cause the TV screen to flicker or roll vertically.
LTTVCPQ.SYS produces the desired 60 Hertz operation in all video modes
even when both the external monitor and the internal LCD panel are active.

HOW TO USE:

1. If SoftPaq obtained on diskette, copy the SoftPaq file to a temporary
directory on the hard drive and go to that directory:

     MD C:\CPQ
     COPY A:\SP0969.EXE C:\CPQ
     C:
     CD \CPQ

2. From that drive and directory, run the SoftPaq utility to unbind the
primary files. Type SP0969.EXE (and press ENTER). The following files
   should be created:

     LTTVCPQ.SYS LTTVCPQ.DOC

3. Please read all DOC files before installing this new driver.

4. Edit your CONFIG.SYS file and add a line for LTTVCPQ.SYS:

     CD\
     EDIT CONFIG.SYS

Insert a line at the top of the file that says
       "DEVICE = C:\CPQ\LTTVCPQ.SYS"

Save the file and exit EDIT.

5. Reboot by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL and the system is ready to use.

6. If at any time the TV screen becomes garbled or starts to roll or
flicker, you may regain control by typing "MODE co80" at a DOS prompt.
