DESCRIPTION: SSD_FIX.EXE resolves Microsoft Windows NT 3.1 diskette
installation problems on Compaq Deskpro XL computer using Compaq NTSSD 1.04c.
This modified version of OEMSETUP.INF is for the Compaq Support Software for
Microsoft Windows NT 3.1 to install the integrated Netflex-ENET/PCI Ethernet
network interface controller driver.

HOW TO USE:
1. If SoftPaq obtained on diskette, copy the SoftPaq file to a temporary
directory on the hard drive and go to that directory:
MD C:\CPQ
COPY A:\SP0918.EXE C:\CPQ
C:
CD \CPQ
If SoftPaq downloaded from BBS, go to the directory where downloaded
to:
C:
CD \CPQ
2. From that drive and directory, run the SoftPaq utility to unbind the
primary files. Type SP0918.EXE (and press ENTER). The following files
should be created:
SSD_FIX.EXE, SP0918.DOC, OEMSETUP.INF, PCNTN3.SY_, FDIR.COM
3. Insert your Compaq NTSSD 1.04c diskette into drive A:.
4. At C:\CPQ prompt, run SSD_FIX.EXE program by typing:
SSD_FIX.EXE
5. Use the newly modified Compaq NTSSD disk to run the NT installation.
