DESCRIPTION:  SMARTIPX.COM resolves anomalies between the COMPAQ LTE Elite
notebook computer and SMARTIPX.EXE.  This version of SMARTIPX.COM is for Madge
Smart 16/4 Ringnode boards using SMARTIPX.EXE from:

HOW TO USE:

1. If SoftPaq obtained on diskette, copy the SoftPaq file to a temporary
   directory on the hard drive and go to that directory:

     MD C:\CPQ
     COPY A:\SP0880.EXE C:\CPQ
     C:
     CD \CPQ

   If SoftPaq downloaded from BBS, go to the directory where downloaded
   to:

     C:
     CD \CPQ

2. From that drive and directory, run the SoftPaq utility to unbind the
   primary files.  Type SP0880.EXE (and press ENTER). The following files
   should be created:

     SMARTIPX.DOC SMARTIPX.COM

3. Copy the program SMARTIPX.COM to the directory that contains SMARTIPX.EXE.

4. SMARTIPX.COM is used in conjunction with SMARTIPX.EXE.

5. When SMARTIPX.COM is run, it runs SMARTIPX.EXE.
