DESCRIPTION: SMARTLSP.COM resolves anomalies between the COMPAQ LTE Elite
notebook computer and SMARTLSP.EXE.  This version (2.0) of SMARTLSP.COM is for
Madge Smart 16/4 Ringnode boards using SMARTLSP.EXE v3.32 from:

Smart LAN Support Software
Release 4.2(0)
March 1994

This SoftPaq will probably not work with previous or future releases of
SMARTLSP.EXE.  If you are using SMARTLSP.EXE from:

Smart LAN Support Software
Release 3.3(0)
November 1992

then you need version 1.0 of SMARTLSP.COM contained in SoftPaq SP0812.EXE
which was written for that version of SMARTLSP.EXE.

HOW TO USE:

1. If SoftPaq obtained on diskette, copy the SoftPaq file to a temporary
   directory on the hard drive and go to that directory:

     MD C:\CPQ
     COPY A:\SP0879.EXE C:\CPQ
     C:
     CD \CPQ

   If SoftPaq downloaded from BBS, go to the directory where downloaded
   to:

     C:
     CD \CPQ

2. From that drive and directory, run the SoftPaq utility to unbind the
   primary files.  Type SP0879.EXE (and press ENTER). The following files
   should be created:

     SMARTLSP.DOC SMARTLSP.COM

3. Copy the program SMARTLSP.COM to the directory that contains SMARTLSP.EXE.

4. SMARTLSP.COM is used in conjunction with SMARTLSP.EXE.

5. When SMARTLSP.COM is run, it runs SMARTLSP.EXE.  If you have SMARTLSP
   listed in a batch file, be sure that the line is SMARTLSP or SMARTLSP.COM,
   not SMARTLSP.EXE.
