DESCRIPTION:  SMARTODI.COM resolves anomalies between the COMPAQ LTE Elite
notebook computer and MADGEODI.COM.  This version of SMARTODI.COM is for Madge
Smart 16/4 Ringnode boards using MADGEODI.COM from:

HOW TO USE:

1. If SoftPaq obtained on diskette, copy the SoftPaq file to a temporary
   directory on the hard drive and go to that directory:

     MD C:\CPQ
     COPY A:\SP0878.EXE C:\CPQ
     C:
     CD \CPQ

   If SoftPaq downloaded from BBS, go to the directory where downloaded
   to:

     C:
     CD \CPQ

2. From that drive and directory, run the SoftPaq utility to unbind the
   primary files.  Type SP0878.EXE (and press ENTER). The following files
   should be created:

     SP0878.DOC SMARTODI.COM

3. Copy the program SMARTODI.COM to the directory that contains MADGEODI.COM.

4. SMARTODI.COM is used in conjunction with MADGEODI.COM.

5. When SMARTODI.COM is run, it runs MADGEODI.COM.

6. If MADGEODI.COM is run from a batch file, make sure the line in the batch
   file does not specify MADGEODI.  The line should be: SMARTODI.
