    COMPAQ MENU PROGRAM - Multiple Configuration for DOS 6.0 and above



DESCRIPTION:
============

   This software release contains a program that installs a Multiple
   configuration option for machines running DOS 6.0 and above.  An
   option of a Windows menu, a DOS menu with 1 MB of Expanded Memory,
   and a DOS Menu without Expanded Memory.

   This SoftPaq is designed to work with DOS 6.0 and above versions ONLY.


INSTALLATION:
=============

   1.  Start your machine with from a Bootable Floppy Disk.
        (if running DOS 6.x, and you do not have a bootable Floppy
         Disk, you may press the F5 key upon seeing
                "Starting MS-DOS"
         after a reboot or initial start of the machine.)

       This is necessary to ensure that no Terminate/Stay Resident (TSR)
       programs or device drivers will conflict with files being copied
       during installation.

   2. Place the SoftPaq diskette in drive "A:"

   3. At the A:\> prompt type "install" and hit Enter

   4. During the installation please follow all direction carefully.

   5. Upon completion of this installation, more information on this
      program can be found by reading the "Readme.txt" file.


PROBLEMS ADDRESSED
==================
This Softpaq addresses issues with applications that require more
conventional memory for operation than is available with the standard
configuration on a Compaq machine with DOS 6.x
