                         INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS


     SBR_SPD.COM is used to correct the problem of a Compaq computer
     running slower when the program PRTMGR.EXE by Saber Software
     Corporation is run.

     Who Should Use

     Use this program if your Compaq computer appears to be slower
     after running the program PRTMGR.EXE by Saber Software Corp in
     resident mode.  This can be tested by running PRTMGR.EXE -R and
     then doing the DOS command MODE SPE.  If the answer comes back
     "FAST" use SBR_SPD.COM as instructed below.

     How To Use

     1.  Copy the program SBR_SPD.COM from the distribution diskette to
         the hard disk on your computer.

     2.  Start the program SBR_SPD.COM before starting the Network
         software.  Such as start SBR_SPD.COM early in the AUTOEXEC.BAT
         file by using a text editor such as EDIT to enter the following
         line.

            C:\path\SBR_SPD.COM

         where "path" is the directory where the program SBR_SPD.COM was
         installed.

     3.  To uninstall SBR_SPD.COM enter the following line at the DOS
         prompt:

            SBR_SPD /R

     4.  You will see a message similar to the following message  when
         the program is run:

     SBR_SPD.COM - Copyright COMPAQ Computer Corp. 1994
     SBR_SPD installed - use SBR_SPD /R to remove

     Effects On Your System

     This program will use about 128 bytes of memory.
